There are some great volunteers over at the Harris County Republican Party that are working their tails off pushing the Republican message and candidates. But everywhere I go, candidates keep telling me that they are getting little to no help from the Party itself, other than emails promoting volunteer coordinated meet and greets. I have no idea what the staff is doing over there but I gotta tell you, the email I received promoting Michael Steele's bus visit Saturday is one of the strangest I've been sent. I left a message yesterday for Jeff Yates, the paid Executive Director of the HCRP to inquire about it but haven't received a callback as of yet. Not that I'm holding my breath or anything stupid like that.

At the party's Richmond office? Seriously? Like, what, all 200 square feet of it?

Dudes, get real! Park that damn bus on Discovery Green and MEET PEOPLE! Fire up the base! Yell, scream, shout! Wave your arms all about!

Instead, I'm "cordially invited" to RSVP to a meeting in a shoebox? To hear more preaching to the choir?
