Once again, Texas Watchdog's Steve Miller does the work that traditional media outlets refuse or are too lazy to do.

The real question, as I brought up earlier, is whether or not Harris County County Attorney Vince Ryan should recuse himself from this entire investigation. Here is a recap of his campaign finance reports relating to Texans Together and Houston Votes:

Money flowing both directions between the official in charge of investigating and the group that submitted, at best, inaccurate voter registrations.

Not good. Even if Texas Watchdog was able to get this quote from Terry O'Rourke, Ryan's first assistant:

"Take a look at the size and the timing of that. There's nothing unlawful," he said.

I don't know about you, but $1,000 and $500 is a lot of money for most of us to give to a political cause.

Harris County Tax Assessor Collector Leo Vasquez looks better every day in this fiasco.
