There are currently two candidates that have filed for the March 2, 2010 primary for the opportunity to run against incumbent Rep. Gene Green in November in Texas' 29th Congressional District. To give voters an overall feel for their candidacies, I asked each of them what they see as the top three issues.
On Tuesday, December 15th, I sent both candidates the following question:
What are three issues (other than Gene Green) that you think are the most important to the residents in CD-29 and what is your plan to address them?
Here are the three issues that each candidate responded with. For their complete and full answers, click on the link provided.
Frank Mazzapica - I believe that the three issues most important to the residents of CD 29 are the following:
- JOBS, JOBS, JOBS
- Fiscal Responsibility
- Renewed Confidence in our Federal Leaders

Eric Story - I have attached the three issues as requested:
- Increase Jobs and Spur the Economy
- National Security
- Upholding the Constitution

I would like to thank Mr. Mazzapica and Mr. Story for their responses. I have met both of these men many times on the campaign trail this year and can attest to their enthusiasm and commitment to CD-29 residents. For conservative leaning Democrats or Republicans, either man would be a vast improvement over the incumbent.
