The Harris County Republican Party will be hosting a series of Town Hall style meetings beginning tonight at Faith Assembly of God Church in Pasadena. Attendees are encouraged to bring relief supplies for Haiti. In addition, the candidates vying to replace Rep. Gene Green in CD-29 will be given the opportunity to speak at the meeting, outlining their thoughts on the Cap and Trade bill.
From the HCRP press release:
The Obama administration is planning to force yet another socialist agenda item on the American people... it's called Cap and Trade.
If enacted, this radical environmental scheme will hit Harris County particularly hard; costing our community thousands of jobs. Let's not sit idly by while the wild-eyed left tramples our Constitution, our liberty and everything we hold sacred.
Please mark your calendar to attend one of these informative meetings. At the events you'll hear from experts in the energy field, receive contact information for targeted Democrats and let your voice be heard.
