This is one of the best videos that I’ve seen using Todd Agnew’s My Jesus as the soundtrack. YouTube is pretty awesome this way, allowing people to interpret songs and make their own music videos. I’m old enough to remember when there was no MTV!
Anyways, Todd was our youth minister for a while and helped give my girls a strong sense of who Jesus was. It’s pretty amazing that Todd has stuck to this now that he has hit the “big time” as an “artist”. He truly has a heart of gold and I thank God that he was a part of my girls lives.
I like this video, I hope he hasn’t peaked too soon. He needs to broaden his policy now that he is getting attention. He’s by far the best option for social conservatives, now he needs to reach some of the fiscal conservatives. The message has been overwhelmingly negative, fueled by a vindictive PAC called Club for Growth because he ticked off their leading financial supporter when he was governor of Arkansas.
He has a little more money now, enough to have hired Joe Carter to combat some of the negatives. It’s true that he isn’t the most fiscally conservative guy in the race - it isn’t true that he’s some sort of evil, corrupt, socialist. One of the most despicable things about politics are the negative ads, now fueled by the internet. If a fiscal conservative looks at his thoughts about health care, they will be shocked to find that he’s to the right of most of them. How dare the “system” not pay for granny’s dialysis and vent?
I’m pretty excited about his gains, although if the election were held today, I’d still vote for Romney. If Huckabee continues to gain and starts to name some of his policy advisors, I might change my mind.

changes on the site today. Seeing as how it’s raining and the mobs are at the stores, I figure it’ll be a good day to upgrade stuff and change the website in general.
Already updated to Wordpress 2.3.1, moved directories on the main domain, etc. Seems to be working okay – did have a few text encoding problems. Not sure why but they are too minor to worry about. Used UTT-8 on the import, should have gone smoothly. Oh well.
So as of now, the site is redirected to bigjolly.com/wordpress. Guess I just like to play and waste time some days to clear my head. I should have left the root clean to begin with, can’t really go all the way back now but it’s a start.
